At Acuity Neuropsychology, we offer a variety of testing/evaluation services, as well as consultation and other support services.
A consultation is the right first step if you aren't quite sure what you need or want to know more about your options. Maybe you have concerns and want to know if an evaluation would be helpful, or if there are other paths or resources that may be more appropriate.
Comprehensive evaluations are designed to assess a broad range of functions, including cognitive skills (such as IQ, attention, or memory), academic skills, and/or social/emotional/behavioral functioning. Comprehensive evaluations are tailored to your specific concerns but provide a more complete picture of an individual's strengths and weaknesses, and therefore allow for a more detailed, specialized treatment plan.
For more specific concerns (such as ADHD, dyslexia, etc.), we provide targeted evaluations that are limited to that area of concern to help clarify a diagnosis and develop a plan for support/treatment. Targeted evaluations are also offered for specific purposes such as SAT/ACT accommodations, IQ testing, school admissions, etc.
Additional services include but are not limited to school/home observations, attendance at school meetings or other educational advocacy support, and professional consultation/collaboration (e.g., with a child's pediatrician or therapist). Other services can be provided based on specific needs.
